Do we ever stop to think of how incredibly special we are? How in this universe where everything
seems duplicable and multipliable, we, as humans remain unique.
No one else but you holds the sum of your values, encounters, realizations, talents, hopes, dreams, memories or experiences, and yet we are more than a spread sheet to be tallied. We are soul and heart. If that is not worth celebrating, what is?
3 ways to celebrate yourself:
- Give your inner critic a couple of hours off a day. Take more risks, follow your gut and don't worry about what others will think. You are meant to shine.
- Create a ritual of self-nurturing. A cup of tea to soothe your soul while you stare out the window. A solitary walk to cradle yourself with words of kindness. Ten minutes to write in your gratitude journal undisrupted by life.
- Believe that it matters. Celebrations matter because they mark time and allow us to connect to something greater than ourselves. Change the way you celebrate to put emphasis on your true values, family, friendship, love, service and interconnectedness.
Go celebrate yourself!
